THE TEAM: Ellie Caudwell, Su Yadanar Hete, Justin Lok, Winson Yap, Pip Calver, Mohamed Abuharm, Orran Slade, Anemone Foe Ngassa, Scott, Boyles.
Research Aim: To create a vibrant, inclusive and sustainable green space that enhances the quality of life for local residents and visitors. The Riverside park is a primary route which connects neighbouring communities and commuters to get to and from work, we aimed to design the park to be a focal hub to help bring people together.
Who is it for?: Neighbouring residents and visitors of the Frome Gateway area.
Description: The project involved spending quality time within the park and completing community activities to gain their insights on the park. This enabled us to come up with a park design which tailored to the responses we received from these activities. These activities were designed to be quick activities which were very successful and our results led us to creating three different focuses for the park. They include:
Active lifestyle
Nature and Biodiversity
Walkway experience
